You don’t have to fight the crowds to find the perfect present. You can do it with Outreach! Here are some suggestions for your gift list:
- Sponsor a Child with Kids Care- For a little over a dollar a day (you can’t even buy a cup of coffee for that anymore), you can sponsor a child in
Tanzania, East Africa! These children attend our Children’s Centers where we give them food, a school uniform, and hope for a future. - Hand-woven baskets from Tanzania– These beautiful baskets are hand-woven by our friends in Tanzania and make a perfect gift for anyone of any age. Furthermore, you can read the story behind the baskets and discover why they are so important to Outreach!
- Hand-made jewelry from Africa– These items are purchased by our founders- Floyd and Kathy Hammer- when they go to Africa. We believe direct trade gives the most value to the creators of these beautiful items!
- Soapstone carvings from Africa – The exquisite beauty and grace of these carvings speak to the simple elegance of the artists who create works that reflect their culture and heritage. These are our most popular gift items.
- Wood carvings from Africa- Children and adults love these hand-carved African treasures. Using woods native to Africa like ebony, the African carvers create graceful carvings that are a great gift item.
- Holiday carvings from Africa– These soapstone or wood carvings speak to the simplicity of the season.
- Give a Medical Mission Trip- This great voluntourism opportunity will provide you or someone of your choosing a chance-in-a-lifetime trip to Tanzania to assist our medical teams provide clinics and perform surgeries. And, at the end of the trip, you can go on Safari in one of the many safaris that Tanzania has to offer. (You do NOT have to be in the medical field to go on our Medical Missions!).
- Throw a Christmas Meal-Packaging Party– Nothing says more about caring and sharing in the holiday season than feeding the hungry. Through the unique Outreach meal-packaging events, you can feed the hungry in America with our *Mac & Cheese or *Rice and Beans meal, or you can feed the hungry abroad with our International Meal. Gather your company, faith-based group, civic organization, school, or family to make a difference and feed the hungry!
- Give the Gift of Pure Water– Jump on board with us as we provide life-saving pure water to villages in Africa with our Water Program.
- Make a Donation for Meals in Honor of a Loved One- Maybe you can’t make it to a meal-packaging event, but you would like to provide funds for meals. We will send you a card to give to them with this acknowledgement.

- $50 = 200 meals
- $100 = 400 meals
- $250 = 1,000 meals
- $500 = 2,000 meals
- $2,970 = 11,880 meals (one full pallet)
