Join us for The Outreach Program Medical Mission Spring Trip 2016

The Outreach Program Medical Mission team is headed to Tanzania this spring and would love to have you come along. The staff of the Singida Hospital is anxious to have us return again. If you can join us or if you know anyone who is interested, our dates are:

  • Depart America – Thursday March 30
  • Leave Tanzania – Thursday April 14 or Sunday April 17 if you go on Safari.

The deadline is March 1.

We need people with these skill sets:

  • ENT
  • General Medicine
  • General Surgery
  • Pediatrics
    • Clinics
    • Surgery
  • Plastics
  • Nurses
    • Clinical
    • Surgical
  • Dentistry
  • Non-medical support staff

When we were in Tanzania in October of 2015, a severe drought left many families struggling to feed their children. The hospitals supply cabinets were bare and patients were being sent to the local pharmacies to buy their own IV solutions. Hopefully, there will be a more positive picture when we return but we need to be prepared nonetheless.

If you can’t join us, please consider a donation to the Medical Mission Fund, which will be used strictly for medical missions.  Another option would be to donate items that are useful and can be transported by the team when we go.

 

These items would be:

 

Small Hand Soaps

 

Underpads

 

Diapers

 

Gauze pads

 

Suture (desperately needed)

 

Bandage materials

 

Blankets/sheets

 

Hospital type gowns

 

Wash clothes

 

Diapers; adult and infant
