Twenty patent‑pending WaterPoint systems shipped in March move Mkalama District closer to clean water access for all 99 primary schools
May 1, 2026 – – The Outreach Program continues its mission to improve health, dignity, and opportunity in underserved communities by delivering lifesaving resources where they are needed most. In March, the organization shipped 20 WaterPoint (patent pending) systems to Tanzania, along with nutritious meals and essential birthing kits, as part of its most recent humanitarian efforts.
Designed to address one of the world’s most urgent challenges, the WaterPoint system is an innovative, sustainable, and scalable clean water solution. Developed through years of hands-on experience and community feedback, the patent‑pending technology is engineered for durability, ease of maintenance, and long‑term use in remote environments.
“Our WaterPoint system reflects a commitment to practical innovation,” said Isaac McNary, Vice President of International Development. “By aligning thoughtful design with real community needs, we’re delivering clean water solutions people can depend on for years.”
In Tanzania’s Mkalama District, 51 of 99 primary schools are already equipped with WaterPoint systems, providing clean water access for 37,000 students. With 48 schools remaining, 20 additional systems are currently in motion (shipped and preparing for installation) bringing the goal of district‑wide access to clean water within reach. Once complete, 70,000 students will have access to clean water. Schools with installed WaterPoint systems have seen a 90% reduction in absenteeism.
Donors are invited to help complete this milestone. Support in the amount of $5,000 will fund system assembly, shipment, and installation to ensure every primary school in the district has access to safe water.
