Outreach Meets With First Lady of Tanzania

On August, 5th, Floyd and Kathy Hammer were requested to meet in Washington, DC with Her Excellency Mama Salma Kikwete; Mama Kikwete is First Lady of Tanzania. The First lady is a supporter of the Outreach Children’s Center programs and has encouraged additional centers to be established.  She was very interested in the opening of the newest Children’s Center in Manyoni and the nearly 2,000 children who will receive mid day meals each school day this year.  We also discussed the Outreach medical missions which provide medical care and how she can assist us with this program.  The First Lady and the Program Director of Health Promotion, Dr. Sarah Maongezi, recognize the need and will support a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Singida.
